Web Developer

Hi, my name is Johannes and I’m a Web Developer with a diploma in software development from CPUT and 1.5 years working experience as a Software Developer. I am currently unemployed and looking for a Web Developer position.

During lockdown last year I started to improve my Front-end skills. I wanted to focus more on developing clean and user friendly experiences.

I taught myself more advanced CSS and JavaScript concepts and after that I learned React. With this knowledge I developed an unique weather app in React I’m really proud of.

While doing web development I feel right at home, especially working on the Front-end. I know that this is the direction I want my development career to move into.

AnyWeather App

AnyWeather calculates the weather for any coordinate on the planet using the OpenWeather API, the Leaflet map library and a few JavaScript packages from npm. I developed the app using React. Click the GitHub link below for more information.

Organ Weight Calculator App

South African Organ Weights is an Android app I developed for a UCT medical student during my studies that calculates the weight of post-mortem organs.
